New raffle aims to raise turtle conservation awareness

The jackpot is now over $46,000 in the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre (OTCC) latest 50/50 fundraiser.

The raffle launched on Oct. 25, with proceeds being split between the winner and the conservation centre.  The funds will go to public education programs that inspire action to protect turtles and their habitats.

The turtle conservation centre is the only organization in Ontario dedicated to the rehabilitation of injured native turtles.

In 2024, they treated over 2,300 turtles.

Free medical care for injured turtles, a turtle taxi program, and conservation research are all provided by the centre.  Its education and outreach programs—offered both in-person and virtually—aim to build understanding and inspire action to address the threats facing Ontario’s eight native turtle species.

Ticket sales for the raffle close on Nov. 25 and can be purchased online at Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre 50/50 Fundraiser NOVEMBER 2024 draw | Rafflebox
