A post has been made on the Town of Bancroft’s Facebook page saying that their office will be opened on Tuesday for in-person payments and appointments.
In the post, it’s explained that Town staff have been working to ensure the office is safe to re-open. “While the front door will remain locked, the Train Station has been modified to allow staff to deliver window-service,” the Facebook post reads.
Town staff will be subjected to daily screening before coming into work and will also regularly wash their hands and sanitize surfaces after every interaction with the public and other staff members. Gloves will be worn by staff members during transactions that involve cash, documents and mail. A log will also be kept of what staff members and guests enter the municipal office.
Marriage and lottery licenses will be offered by appointment only, along with commissions of oath and building department services. You will need to call 613-332-3331 or email [email protected] to schedule an appointment. If it’s building department related, you need to contact Chief Building Official Matt Aldom by email at [email protected].
The municipal office will be open for window service from 10 AM until 1 PM Monday through Friday. They will re-open from 2 until 3:30 PM on those days as well.
The Town adds in their Facebook post that while they are open, they ask you to continue to contact them by phone whenever possible. The phone line to the Town office is open from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM Monday to Friday.
