Killaloe OPP highlights hotspots for wildlife collisions

Killaloe OPP has released hot spots for wildlife-related collisions within the detachment area.

According to Constable Catherine Yarmel since the start of 2017, there have been 480 collisions combined on Combermere Road, Simpson Pit Road, Round Lake Road and Highway 60.

Of these collisions, Yarmel says that 50% of them were animal related in the last 17 months. Police remind you to always been on the lookout for wildlife while driving by skimming the shoulders on rural roads. You’re also reminded that if you see one deer, there are likely more following it.
