Hastings Highlands has a new Economic Development Coordinator.
The hiring was announced during last week’s council meeting, as Russell Grant steps into the role for the municipality. In the position, Grant will draft an economic development and tourism strategy that is specific for Hastings Highlands.
Grant will work with council, municipal staff, business leaders and members of the public to determine the most important, realistic and attainable items to introduce in the next year and a half.
Mayor Vivian Bloom says she is thrilled to be able to move forward with recommendations from the Hastings Highlands Business Retention and Expansion survey, which will be implemented through Grant.
