Load restrictions in Bancroft have been lifted.
That’s according to Public Works Manager Perry Kelly, who says the restrictions were lifted Tuesday on certain roads in the town.
The restrictions were in place during the spring thaw to protect roads from being damaged as the weather heated up. It saw commercial vehicles with more than five tons per axle not allowed on these roads.
When the restrictions went into effect in March, Kelly said they would be in place until roads had dried up and overnight temperatures stayed above zero.
