Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke Independent candidate Hector Clouthier says if elected, he’d first work to promote more tourism to Barry’s Bay, as well as expanding Highway 17 to four lanes to Renfrew and Pembroke to bring more people to the riding.
He says he’d also fight to help the lumber industry prosper again in the Barry’s Bay area.
Clouthier is up against NDP candidate Daniel McCarthy, Liberal candidate Jeff Lehoux, Green candidate Stefan Klietsch, Libertarian candidate Steve Fortin and incumbent Conservative candidate Cheryl Gallant in the race for the seat.  Our attempts to reach Libertarian candidate Steve Fortin have not been returned.
