12:20 a.m.

Conservative incumbent Shelby Kramp-Neuman has won her seat in our riding of Hastings-Lennox and Addington-Tyendinaga.

As of just after midnight Kramp-Neuman has 57% of the share with 21,918 votes and 220 of 258 polls reported.

Liberal Tracy Sweeny-Schenk follows in the second spot and NDP Ava Duffy in third.

We caught up with Kramp-Neuman late Monday,  shortly after the riding was projected to win.

“I’m humbled at the amount of trust that the people of Hastings-Lennox and Addington-Tyendinaga have put in me. We have had a tremendous high level positive campaign that I’m very proud of…the political family that surrounds me and my entire family have been substantial and I’m just so grateful.”

This will be Kramp-Neuman’s second term as MP in our riding.

She won with 45% of the vote in 2021, beating out Liberal Mike Bossio.

Bancroft Mayor Paul Jenkins says that he congratulates MP Kramp-Neuman and looks forward to continuing to work with her to further the interests of Town of Bancroft residents.
