Madawaska Valley Hospice and Palliative Care (MVHP) is hosting an Advance Care Planning Workshop tomorrow from 1-4 p.m. at the Opeongo Seniors Centre in Barry’s Bay.
Jenna Stamplicoski, co-ordinator of volunteer bereavement services for MVHP, says that the day has a lot to offer.
“We’re going to cover ‘What does it mean (advance care planning), how do you do it, who should do it, how to have difficult conversations…we’ll explore what’s important for others to know, when you can’t take care yourself.”
Stamplicoski says there will be representatives from local businesses and groups that relate to advance care planning, such as lawyers, funeral directors and other service providers in the region.
