The Undercover Gala is coming to the Village Playhouse this Friday.
According to Tweed and Company’s Co-Executive and artistic director ,Tim Porter, the annual gala is a big event for the theatre company.
“So for people that don’t know, the gala is our biggest fundraiser for the Village Playhouse each year. It helps to cover a lot of the costs that aren’t covered by shows or regular production. So things like our new bathrooms that we installed when we first took over, the dressing room renovation in the back, the washer and dryer.”
Porter says the gala’s theme this year is ‘Undercover’ and features some fantastic Canadian talent, food and fun.
“The Granite does a beautiful cocktail dinner and special bar drink. And we’ve got a silent auction. And this year’s band is The Undercovers, who are some of Canada’s best traveling musicians.”
