Algonquin Park is letting people know that due to unpredictable ice out conditions, backcountry camping is currently closed from April 1 to May 1.
If conditions allow, the park says they will open backcountry camping reservations before May 2.
Until backcountry camping is open you cannot make backcountry reservations and there are no ‘first-come, first-served’ campsites.
This applies to both backpacking and paddling.
