New To You thrift shop, which supports the North Hastings Hospital, is starting off its week-long bag sale today in Bancroft.
Volunteer Pat said the bags might not look that big, but you can fit a lot into them.
“Everything you can fit into a paper bag and, believe me, if you fold them up you can get a lot in there, is $5 for the whole bag.” she explained to moose FM, while holding up a brown paper bag, similar in size to the Foodland checkout.
Pat says the week after the sale the store will be closed in order to clean the store and switch over to summer stock.
Most of the remaining winter stock will be donated to the Word of Life outreach thrift store in Lake St. Peter.

Pat added that all the funds raised at New to You go directly to the hospital.
This year the Hospital Auxiliary’s goal is to raise $80, 000 for two new ventilators.
