In light of the Canada Post strike, residents are being asked to avoid putting any payments or time-sensitive documents in the mail for the time being.
Madawaska Valley is reminding people that the final instalment of 2024 property taxes was due on Oct. 31.
The township says that as they are unable to send out late payment notices, you can double-check that you have paid your 2024 taxes in full to avoid incurring penalty charges.
The Town of Bancroft is advising people that payments are still due on their specified dates, and late penalties still apply.
Contact your local township office if you have questions regarding your bill or visit during regular operating hours.
If you would normally pay bills via mail, consider an alternative option, such as online billing.
