Going wild in the last week of school

It’s the last week of elementary school and things can a little wild.

Especially at Maynooth Public school where students spent Wednesday hanging out with crocodiles, pythons and chinchillas.

Zoo to You was at the school bringing their exotic friends with them for the students to hang out with. Kids had an opportunity to pet crocodiles, cuddle ferrets and even wrap a 6 foot long python around their shoulders.

We spoke with one student about a special spider he met that day:

“They went around the circle and we would put our finger out so that the spider could give us a little high 5… but it was more like a high one though.”

Zoo to You is a travelling hands-on event featuring both mammals and reptiles that is designed to entertain and educate kids and grown-ups.

They work with rescue organizations and facilities to take in unwanted exotic pets.
