The gate is now open at Eagles Nest and people can drive up to the top. The park features a recreational trail system and the ‘Hawk-Watch’ lookout over the York River.
Eagles Nest Park is owned and maintained by the Town of Bancroft. The Stewards of Bancroft Eagles Nest Park, a not-for-profit organization that works in cooperation with the Town, works to develop educational and recreational programs in the park.
On their official website, The Bancroft Stewards of Eagles Nest Park remind everyone to please not leave food on the trails as it can attract wildlife, including bears.
