Museum award program asks for reflections on meaning of peace

What does peace mean to you?

The Canadian Peace Museum wants to hear your thoughts on the subject as part of a new award program, timed to coincide with International Peace Day on Thursday, Sept. 21.

The museum asks people to record a short video that answers the question and post it to social media with the hashtag #StoriesofPeace2023, while tagging the museum by writing @CanPeaceMuseum.

The museum says the winning entry will win a $500 cash prize, courtesy of its sponsor, restaurant chain Loaded Pierogi.

The Canadian Peace Museum is a new museum being led by North Hastings resident Chris Houston.

It’s working with Bancroft officials to set up a physical location, but it’s already a registered non-profit with a digital presence.
