Moose FM will be raising money again for local healthcare this summer.
The 15th Annual North Hastings District Hospital Auxilliary Moose FM Radiothon will be taking place on Friday, August 12th. Phone lines will be open from 7 AM until 6 PM at our station on Highway 28, and will be open to walk-ins. Radio personalities will also be on location at Price Ford from 9 AM until 6 PM.
This year’s event is once again called “We’re All Heart” and there are several pieces of equipment the Auxillary is looking to buy. They want to buy seven vital sign monitors, which keep track of patients’ blood pressure, pulse and oxygen levels. Auxillary members say these pieces of equipment are critical to the functioning of the hospital.
In addition, the Auxillary is hoping to buy a Piccolo Express Analyzer. Members say the equipment will allow for more specific blood results and will cost over $18,000.
The fundraiser is one of several the Auxillary is holding this year during the summertime. Last year the radiothon brought in $43,000 in donations.
Donations can be accepted by Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Cheque, or through the Canada Helps charity portal. Receipts will be mailed out for each donation over $20.
