New positive COVID-19 case incorrectly reported by Public Health due to technical glitch

A new positive case of COVID-19 was reported this morning by Hastings-Prince Edward Public Health, but it was due to a technical glitch on their website.

Communications Coordinator with Public Health Karen La Rose tells the MyBancroftNow.com newsroom that they have been dealing with multiple issues Wednesday with their dashboard causing the date of the last positive case of the virus to show up as May 2nd, instead of May 18th along with the positive case of the virus incorrectly being added.

There has been a total of 43 cases of COVID-19 between Hastings and Prince Edward Counties with five active cases remaining. There is no change to how many people have recovered or died due to the virus in the region. Those numbers stay at 33 and five respectively.

As of Wednesday morning, 7,408 swabs have been done by Public Health.
