Candidates hoping to be the future MPP for Hastings-Lennox and Addington are gearing up for the campaign to start.
The writ is expected to drop tomorrow, which signals the official start of the 2018 provincial election campaign. The election will be held on June 7th.
Conservative Candidate Daryl Kramp says he feels as if the party has a lot of support heading into it.
Kramp says he can help change the province’s direction for the better, but it won’t happen overnight. Kramp opened his campaign office on Snow Road in Bancroft on Monday night.
NDP Candidate Nate Smelle says he feels more and more pumped about the election with every door he knocks on.
Smelle says he believes people want change that will make things better in Ontario. Smelle’s campaign office will open at 4:00pm on Friday in the annex next to A Place for the Arts in Bancroft.
Liberal Candidate Tim Rigby says the party has a platform that will help people in their day-to-day lives. Rigby says he feels good about his team and what it’s doing.
Rigby says there are no plans at this time to open a campaign office in Bancroft.
Trillium Party Candidate Lonnie Herrington says he is very excited and ready for the election.
Herrington says his team is out knocking on doors to spread the word about the party’s goals. Herrington says the Trillium Party is actively looking for a place to open a campaign office in Bancroft, but still doesn’t have one at this time.
