The 2018-2019 school year calendar is one step closer to being finalized.
During a Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board meeting yesterday, trustees approved dates for the next school year. It would run from September 4th to June 28th, and would include 194 school days and seven PA days. Christmas break would start on December 24th and end on January 4th. March break would go from March 11th to the 15th.
The board says employees, parents, and community members had the chance to weigh-in on these dates, with 80 per cent in favour of them. The 2018-2019 school year calendar will now be forwarded to the Ministry of Education for approval, which is expected to happen this spring.
