Crime Stoppers recognizes its impact during January

January marks Crime Stoppers Month, and recognizes the impact the program has had on fighting crime.

Quinte Crime Stoppers Chairman Mike Letwin says, since the local program started in 1987, it has helped arrest more than 1,700 people, and solve over 1,800 cases.

Over $2.5-million in stolen property has been found, and over $44-million in illegal drugs have been seized.

Crime Stoppers is reminding you that you can call them anonymously to report crimes and make Ontario a safer place.
